We are glad to welcome Jón Ingi Benediktsson, who as of today September 15 is a new senior consultant in Plougmann Vingtoft’s commercialization and tech-trans team that works within technology transfer and commercialization of inventions.
Jón Ingi Bendiktsson is from Iceland, and for the past eight years, he has worked at Seed Capital, which is one of the biggest venture capital firms in Denmark. At Seed Capital, Jón took part in the creation of several start-ups and spin-outs from the research environment.
Beforehand, Jon was CEO of the research- and innovation center at Akureyri University in Iceland. In addition, he has gained experience from a position as director of sales in the pharma and medico company Pharmaco Ltd.
Large network within both entrepeneurship and universities environment
Through his career, Jón Ingi Benediktsson has specialized in identifying the commercial opportunities of research environments, and in developing innovative entrepreneurs within Life Science and Medtech-industries. He brings along knowledge about the processes of creating a business such as creating a market analysis and presenting a product to potential investors.
With more than 25 years of work experience and a MSc in Human Physiology from the University of Copenhagen, Jón Ingi Benediktsson has a comprehensive network within the hospital sector as well as the part of the innovative environment that specializes in Medtech.
